What You Need To Do

In order to be successful during your Core Training at KSS Deanery you must ensure you do the following:

1. Register with the Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum Project (ISCP) 
2. Meet with your Programme Director and Assigned Educational Supervisor at the start of your placement. 
3. Set up a learning agreement with your Assigned Educational Supervisor. 
4. Ensure you keep your portfolio up to date throughout the year: 

• You should be registering progress against topics
• Regularly updating your Workplace based assessments on the ISCP and ensuring these are validated.  Make sure you have done enough with CONSULTANTS!
• Populate your evidence section with your exams, courses, training days, Audits and Research.

1. Complete the Mandatory GMC survey and forward confirmation of receipt number to the Deanery as this will form part of your ARCP. 
2. Notify the Deanery of your MRCS examresults and forward a copy of your certificate to Coresurgery@kssdeanery.ac.uk .
