CT2 16 Month Interim Review

Details

  • The interim review is a face-to-face meeting in your hospital with your RCP Tutor, your educational supervisor, LFG Lead and/or MEM may also be present.
  • Your ePortfolio will be reviewed against the ARCP Decision Aid, taking into account what stage you are at in your training.
  • The outcome of the meeting will be logged on the ePortfolio and communicated back to the Deanery.

In building your portfolio, it is vital to make every effort to use the assessments routinely and add a substantial number of them on a regular and ongoing basis. Therefore it is very important that all trainees gain above and beyond the minimum number of competencies. At the very least, you must have 6 of each Workplace Based Assessment, as highlighted in the ARCP Decision Aid, by the 16 month interim review.

If you do not have good evidence of competencies, including the minimum numbers of assessments, the School will support you to obtain the relevant experience and assessments. Your progress will be monitored by the Head of School.

All Core Trainees will eventually apply for Higher Medical Training posts, and competition will be intense.
