CMT Regional Training Days

The KSS Deanery School of Medicine delivers six Regional Training Days per annum.

It is mandatory that all Core Medical Training trainees attend a minimum of 60% of Regional Training Days. It is the trainee’s responsibility to liaise with the trust in good time to ensure sufficient service cover.

Attendance rates feed into the annual ARCP; if a trainee does not comply with the minimum attendance percentage, they will obtain an unsatisfactory ARCP outcome.

All training days cover a different area of the core curriculum and are case based and interactive, using an electronic voting system and include additional topics such as interview skills and career guidance.

The KSS CMT regional training days are extremely popular with our trainees and have been praised by the RCP as examples of good practice.

Training Days:

  • Run on Wednesdays between 10:00 and 16:00.
  • Each event is held at a different trust within the KSS region.
  • You will be asked to confirm your attendance prior to the event.
  • The agendas for each session will be emailed to each trainee once they have been confirmed and certificates will be issued after the event.
  • A Medical Workforce Representative will be available at each event to meet with trainees and to answer queries.
