Message from the Head of School

I was appointed as Head of School in October 2007, whilst still keeping the role of Regional Advisor for SW Thames for the RCPCH and Director of Medical Education for Ashford and St. Peters Hospitals NHS Trust. I have recently successfully completed an MA in Clinical Education. Thus I have a good understanding of the needs in medical education.

I have been a consultant neonatal paediatrician for nearly 13 years and my training has taken me to many parts of the country, from Plymouth to Exeter and Bristol to Birmingham and from Nottingham to Derby. This has given me insight into all aspects of paediatrics and the differences that occur around the country.

In my spare time? I enjoy having two living coral reefs in my home and I support Manchester City (well someone has to) and I have two teenage boys.
