Lisa Stone

Lisa graduated with a BA Hons degree in Economics at Liverpool University in 1992 and an MSc in International Business Economics at the University of the West of England in 1997. She is currently working towards a PG Diploma in Career Education, Information and Guidance in Higher Education on the AGCAS/University of Reading programme. Lisa has worked at KSS Deanery for over four years and has been working as a careers adviser since January 2009. The NHS medical careers website, www.medicalcareers.nhs.uk is managed by KSS on behalf of the Department of Health. Lisa is involved with writing content for the website as well as working on the publicity for it. Lisa also helps facilitate Careers Support Workshops and in addition to this she gives careers guidance to individual doctors who have been referred to the careers team. Previous to this Lisa worked in a few different jobs, building up quite a lot of experience especially in the university sector. Lisa also lived in Spain for five years and taught English as a foreign language. Outside of work Lisa likes swimming, cycling, pilates, walking, reading and the cinema. Lisa also has a passion for travelling, getting to know different cultures and languages.
