Welcome to the Secondary Care section of the KSS Deanery website

Secondary Care embraces all the Specialty Schools, with a separate web section for General Practice. Further information on Specialty Schools and training opportunities within the programmes they manage is available here and cross references to Prospectus information too.

In Specialties, many of the Higher Specialist Training Programmes are delivered in liaison with London Deanery and information about those will be on our neighbours web site and within Synapse. Feedback on the quality of our web pages is always appreciated.

Transfer of deanery management responsibilities of Higher Specialty Training for ST3 trainees and ST1 trainees starting run through training 

Up until now the majority of Higher Specialist Training Programmes have been managed by the London Deanery through a joint KSS and London School/Specialty Training Committee structure. As of August 2011 this arrangement is to change with the KSS Deanery managing its own higher speciality training programmes along with their current core training programmes.
