Recruitment to a Specialty Post: Timing

Interview dates are set and available via the KSS Deanery Prospectus.

Advertisements will be published in the BMJ in mid-November and will also be available on NHS Jobs. The adverts will be open for a minimum of a four week period.

 

Medical Education England is an independent advisory non-departmental public body with a remit for medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and healthcare science. A central part of its work is in workforce planning, education commissioning and funding, education structure and professional regulation. It advises the Department of Health on policy and maintains high-level scrutiny on issues of workforce planning at national level.  Applicants will be able to register their details with the relevant online system up to two weeks prior to the application window date. This way they can complete all the mandatory fields, ready to work on the application form at release date. Applications will be open for a minimum of 14 days (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays). Offers will be made shortly after the interviews have finished. Some specialties will have a 'holding' mechanism
